Forest survive promotion test
FOREST 1 survived a test of their promotion prospects at Mapperley Park 1 in the Men’s Division One of the Nottinghamshire Badminton Association. Although down on total points, they won 5-4, with Adam Buck and Mike Storey taking their three rubbers. Mapperley Park dc shoes 3 scored two victories in 2A, 8-1 over David Lloyd West Bridgford 1 and 6-3 against Naseeb 1, to stay in contention for promotion. Kimberley 1 edged a 5-4 win against Rushcliffe Arena 1 in 2B, in four three-setters. University Staff improved their chances in the 3B promotion race by beating Carlton 2 8-1, taking all but one of six three-setters. Hermes handbags Carlton 2 hauled themselves back in by winning 6-3 at David Lloyd Aspley 1, Martin and David Tilling recording a maximum. Carlton 1 beat Boots 1 5-4, thanks to John Tilling and Chris Parrot’s three rubbers. Mandeep Singh and Abraham Isaac were undefeated for David Lloyd 59fifty West Bridgford 3 in their 6-3 ed hardy shirts win at David Lloyd Aspley 2 in 4A. David Lloyd also went down 5-4 at Arboretum 1, where the home side’s Peter Huxley and Martin Shaw were unbeaten. Stuart Stafford and Arthur Dobson’s maximum guided Carlton 3 to a 6-3 success over Kimberley 2 in 4B. Southwell Centre 2 consolidated their lead in 5A with a 7-2 win at Rushcliffe Arena 3. Boots 1′s Gary Stubley and Moira Houlton were undefeated in their 6-3 win at Kimberley 2 in 4A. Kimberley 2 then beat Arboretum 1 8-1. Mapperley Park ladies beat Beeston Valley 1 5-4, Li Xiang and Cheong Xiong Ling undefeated, and won 8-1 against Bingham 3 to top the Division One table.
